Changing mode #

On Stratus and Thunder, there are 2 modes available: Challenging and Classic.

Your current mode is displayed on your company dashboard

The differences between the 2 modes are:

Fleet Management Costs are only applied in Challenging mode
To emulate the increasing overheads from managing a fleet, when you own more than 5 aircraft an additional cost will be charged weekly depending on the number and types of aircraft in the fleet.
For VAs this cost is applied to the VA itself, not to members who happen to have access to VA aircraft.
This is a representation of the costs associated with the extra background staff needed to manage a
fleet. E.g. Ground crew, weather handling, accountants, etc.

Weekly FBO Management Costs are only applied in Challenging mode
To emulate the increasing cost/overheads of FBO management, when you own more than 3 FBOs, an additional weekly fee based around your total number and class of FBOs will be charged. This is a representation of all the staff working in the background to manage the FBOs, e.g. Ground Crew, Accountants, Office staff, etc.

Jobs pay
Is higher in the classic mode, an average of x3 bonus.

Changing World #

Thunder companies are allowed to migrate to Stratus or Cumulus

Stratus companies are allowed to migrate to Cumulus

The characteristics of each world are the following:

Cumulus is the recommended world for first time CEOs as it features both the most forgiving rule set and facilitates a tutorial that will reward you with a free Cessna 172 to get you started on your career path
Providing for a relaxed and casual play style should you have only a few hours to invest in your company and wish to have access to additional helper features. (e.g. instant teleportation of your employees around the world)

Stratus is the final step in difficult, where you can still utilise AI employees to fly planes even when you are away from the computer. Otherwise, all the aids are disabled.

Thunder is the final level, no aids, no payout multiplier and AI pilots may not fly without you at the controls. In this world every flight your company performs must be completed by you in a connected simulator. As no AI pilots are available in Thunder, there are no rental daily minimum flight hours.
