Expanding with FBOs

So, if you find yourself with a growing new company then it might be time to expand beyond simply trawling the general job market for various contracts that you and your employees can deliver.

This is where the creation of FBOs will help facilitate the growth of your company, enabling a whole host of new options, from private FBO Query jobs, to the creation of regular airline routes and the ability to start stocking and selling fuel or providing workshop services and mechanics to work on both your own aircraft and those belonging to other players.

An FBO is a “Fixed-Base Operator”, meaning a company or organization that has been granted permission by the airpoor to operate additional services such as providing fuel, hangars, tie-downs, maintenance and other similar things.
Once you have the necessary skills unlocked (See the chapter on skills for more details), you will be able to construct your own FBOs at any airport assuming you can afford to.

FBOs have both a construction cost and a weekly upkeep cost. The price of these vary depending on the size of the airfield (small airfields have much lower costs than a large international airport) and how extensive your FBO services are.

Let’s begin then, with the first section, how to go about building an FBO and what all the options for construction do.
