As part of the economic rules update and ‘Challenge’ mode, a new overhead was added to emulate the increasing management and ground crew requirements of having multiple aircraft in your fleet.
OnAir will apply an additional cost to the aircraft ownership fees if you own more than 5 aircraft.
The cost factor will depend on just how many aircraft you own and is calculated by the following formula:
(Number of Aircraft – 5) / 100
There is a cap on this value, at 0.3
As a worked example, let us take a fleet of 35 aircraft. The additional cost calculation would work out like this:
( ( (35 -5) / 100 ) x Combined Aircraft Price ) x 1.95%
( ( 30/100) x Combined Aircraft Price ) x 1.95%
( 0.3 x Combined Aircraft Price ) x 1.95%
The combined aircraft price is the total amount of value of your entire fleet using the “max price” value as seen on the aircraft market list when searching for aircraft.
