FBO Management Costs

Included in the economic rules and ‘challenge mode’ rules, a new set of costs were introduced to FBOs to emulate the increasing management costs of owning multiple FBOs.

OnAir will apply an additional cost based on the total weekly ownership cost of an FBO if you own more than 3 FBOs.

The total factor applied depends on how many FBOs you own over the limit and it is calculated using the following method:

((Number of FBOs – 3) / 100 ) x 4

As a worked example, let’s consider for instance if you were to own 48 FBOs in total, the additional cost would then apply as such:

((48 – 3) / 100 ) x 4) x Combined Weekly Ownership of all your FBOs

((45/100) x 4) x Combined Weekly Ownership of FBOs.

(0.45 x 4) x Combined Weekly Ownership of FBOs.

1.8 x Combined Weekly Ownership of FBOs.

That is to say, with 48 FBOs, you would pay 180% of the total weekly fees of all your FBOs added together.

You can see just how much each FBO’s weekly ownership cost is on the management page of an FBO. This value fluctuates depending on the size of the airfield, the amount of assets (Such as fuel tanks, warehouses, tie downs and crew rooms) and any workshops you may have operating at the FBO.
