Types

Goods Transport – This is the most basic form of cargo transportation job. It has no special constraints, skill requirements but also no intrinsic bonuses for its type. Everyone can access this job type from the start.

Passengers – The basic form of passenger transport. It does require a skill but otherwise has no other special requirements.

Fragile – These are cargo transport jobs but they come with additional limitations in how you fly but also confer higher payouts. Your payload will be damaged by excessive G-Forces, Pitching or Banking Angles or touchdowns. If the goods become too damaged, the job will be considered failed.

Dangerous Material – These are a cargo transport job that require a specific skill unlocked to take. They have no other special requirements and confer a small bonus to payout.

Medical – Medical jobs often involve moving both cargo (Medical supplies and equipment) and passengers (Doctors or Surgeons). They require a specific skill to unlock but confer higher payouts. They may have additional constraints.

Executive – These typically entail moving business executive passengers. They require the same skill unlock as Passengers but may have additional constraints applied. Payouts are boosted.

Perishable Goods – These involve moving cargo such as fresh food and produce. They do not require a special skill but often have time constraints involved.

Event Logistics – This job type can vary in payload types and may contain cargo, passengers or both. It may require the passenger skill if it contains passengers but has no other constraints applied.

Sight Seeing – Sighting Seeing tours are a special job type and involve taking a group of passengers to certain POIs (Points of Interest) and maintaining specific range and altitudes while the tourists take their photos.

Fighter Tour – A fighter tour is another special job type that requires a specific class of aircraft to be flown through specific waypoints. These can be either classic fighters or more modern jet fighters. A red version of the icon denotes a special “low altitude” version of the mission.

Extra Statuses

Some job types may come complete with additional constraints that can modify the
requirements of the job or simply boost the value of the job. These are summarised
below:

Human Only – A human only flight means that it can never be flown by a AI pilots and requires you to actively complete it in the simulator. A bonus is added to the payout to reflect this constraint.

Time Constraint – Time constraints mean that a payload may only be loaded after a specific date and time. Before that point, you will be unable to place cargo or passengers onto your aircraft.

Outstanding Pay – This status just signifies that a job will pay a little higher than the norm for the amount of payload compared to the distance between origin and destination.

Expiry Time

All jobs in OnAir come with a deadline for completion, however this can be an advantage for companies looking to maximise their profit. Unlocking the ‘Last Minute Jobs’ skill will enable you to take jobs that are close to their expiry date, however failing to deliver jobs by their expiration will confer a penalty that grows over time depending how late the delivery is. After a job reaches 14 days beyond its expiry point, it will be deleted from the market, or if you have “taken” the job, it will be considered failed and removed from your company’s pending jobs list alongside being charged the maximum penalty value of the job and receiving a reputation penalty for failing to deliver.

A job can gain no bonuses for urgency if you have already “taken” it, so if you are looking for maximum profits it should be left on the job market until you are ready to complete the job. Starting at 48 hours from the expiry, jobs will start to increase in value slowly until the 24 hours remaining mark. At 24 hours they have gained their maximum bonus (1.3x multiplier).

Expiry time is denoted by a coloured box that changes shades over time. These colours are as follows:
Green (Over 48 hours remaining), Yellow (24 to 48 hours), Orange (12 to 24 hours), Red (3 to 12 hours), Purple (0 to 3 hours) and Black (passed the expiry date). The box also contains a count down in hours.
