Search for an ore deposit #
To build a mining facility, the first thing to do is to search for an ore deposit.
To do this, you need to buy an ore detector:

To speed up the installation process, you can already buy a Basecamp Construction Kit:

Load them into any aircraft:

Fly under 300 ft above the ground to search for an ore deposit:

The ore concentration is shown in a frame at the bottom right of the map:

The ore concentration is also displayed on the MSFS in-game panel at the top of the Flight Status frame:

When the ore concentration is above 70%, a sound is played. In this example we found a Lithium ore deposit:

To find the optimum position, you will need a slow aircraft or an helo.
End your flight by stopping the engine.
Deploy a Basecamp at the deposit location:

Note that you can build a mining facility on water. In next update, when we include the MSFS 3D models, the “aquatic” mining facility will have a different 3D model.
Create a new factory at the Basecamp #
- Type the basecamp ICAO in the airport field
- Chose the mining Category

Place a Small Mining Facility, bring the needed construction resources (20 Builders, 100 Lumbers and 30 Steel Bars) and start the build:

During the construction time, you can bring the Miners and Foremen, Food and Mining Gears to start the production as soon as the construction is over:

Be sure to select the adequat process from the small mining facility settings:

Note that at any moment you can check the production zone efficiency in the settings:
