Getting Started

Welcome to the beginning of your first adventure! In the following 4 sections, we are going to look at how to get started with OnAir and learning the first steps of the OnAir application interface.

The OnAir application is currently only available for Windows PCs, however there is a web companion being developed that will allow you to check in on your company and even perform some management from anywhere with an active internet connection and a modern web browser! For more details on that, please check out the section on the Web Companion later in this Manual.

For now we need to make our first decision, and that is which version of OnAir to download.

OnAir supports multiple simulators for integration, however since some of these are a little older, they run in ‘32 Bit’ mode rather than the modern ‘64 Bit’ system.

You should select the ‘64 Bit’ version of OnAir if you wish to run without any simulator integration (Tycoon Mode) or with one of the following simulators:

• Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
• Lockheed-Martin’s Prepar3D version 4 or newer
• Laminar Research X-Plane v11

You should choose ‘32 Bit’ if you wish to use OnAir with:

• Microsoft Flight Simulator X
• LM Prepar3D version 3.
