Throughout the flight tracking, live instructions and penalties will be displayed. Your flight score impacts the reputation and XP you earn for the flight. See also Realistic Procedures

We aim to accommodate a wide range of gameplay styles and aircraft types, ensuring that our scoring system works effectively for both airliners and various general aviation aircraft and ULMs.

Below are the rules that are applicable to all companies in the OnAir World:

At the end of your flight, a landing grade is computed using the lowest of the 3 following sub-grades.

Landing Rate grade:

  • Very smooth: < 200ft/min
  • Smooth: < 300 ft/min
  • Regular: < 400 ft/min
  • Hard: < 500 ft/min
  • Very hard: above 500 ft/min

Landing G grade:

  • Very smooth: < 1.1G
  • Smooth: < 1.2G
  • Regular: < 1.4G
  • Hard: < 1.7G
  • Very hard: above 1.7G

Landing speed grade: A reference landing speed is computed as follow: vs0 x 1.3 (capped to 25kts min)

  • Very smooth: < REFERENCE_SPEED + 10 kts
  • Smooth: < REFERENCE_SPEED + 20 kts
  • Regular: < REFERENCE_SPEED + 30 kts
  • Hard: < REFERENCE_SPEED + 40 kts
  • Very hard: > REFERENCE_SPEED + 40 kts

If your landing grade is Very smooth or smooth, you are granted the smooth landing bonus.

If your landing grade is Hard or Very Hard, you get the hard landing malus.
