Routes deployed on all worlds
The regular route feature is now available on all worlds.
After gathering feedback on the beta world, to facilitate route flying, any flight for a route can now be flow 12h before to 12 hours after.
This means that in certain circumstances, you will be able to make an evening regular route flight before the morning flight. This dissociation from reality is needed to accommodate usage of the routes.
The penalty for late arrival takes into account the simulator time, not real-time, so when you fly a route, you can set the Route departure time in your sim (using OnAir UTC offset) to avoid penalties:
We added a way to set the offset of all flights when you start a flight. This field is automatically filled with a default value when you load a route cargo/pax:

This feature is available in all worlds for every flight.

Feedback on Beta World
This week, the beta world still uses easy worlds (planned for cumulus and clear sky):
- All the jobs pay get an X3 boost
- The Company Jobs Pay bonuses are available in the non-survival mode (up to 90%)
- On the beta world, you can switch to the non-survival mode by clicking “Exit Survival Mode” in the global Settings

Leasing feature on Beta World
Leasing is a new option intended to be used when players do intend to use the same aircraft regularly but cannot yet afford to, or are unwilling to, purchase the aircraft outright.
Leasing fees are paid weekly and smaller companies will not be able to lease large airliners sustainably unless they operate a significant number of flight hours per week.
4 weeks minimum duration.- Discounts available for longer terms, e.g. 12 weeks = 5% discount, 24 weeks = 10%, 36 weeks = 15% and 48 weeks = 20%
- At the conclusion of the lease, the lessee will be given an offer to purchase the aircraft outright at its estimated current value.
- Maintenance is managed and paid for by the lessee.
- Requires sufficient number of flight hours to remain cost effective.
- Weekly payments, with no change in cost regardless of flight hours.
- No limit to the total number of leases, but a new lease will require an up-front payment of the first 3 weeks.
Difficulty Level planned on release Worlds after the Beta
The difficulty level that was implemented on the beta server first stage was a test of the highest difficulty options and is not suitable for all players.
The economic parameters included this week are planned to be deployed on Cumulus and Clear Sky at the end of the beta.
For Thunder and Stratus, there will be an intermediate level of difficulty, between these parameters and the highest difficulty like we had on the 3 first weeks of the beta.
In all worlds, each company will have an option to switch to the new Economic Ruleset, a very challenging experience.
If you are not satisfied with the new ruleset, you will be able to revert to the easier version within 30 days of play with the switched company.
There will be no economic exchanges between companies in the 2 modes.
In any case, no reset will ever be made on the existing worlds.
How to access the beta world
The beta world is deployed on a temporary server that is accessible from the OnAir world Lobby.
In the second phase, all companies start with 2,500,000 credits to test the middle game balance. We need feedback related to:
- Proposed changes of existing features
- New features that could contribute to economic balance.
To send feedback, submit a ticket via the Zendesk support page utilizing the special category “Economic Balance Beta”. Please make sure to specify the 4 Digit Airline code of the company you have created on the Beta world when submitting the feedback.
All requests, responses and statuses are publicly accessible via a web interface with links available in the OnAir Application interface.
It is very important to only include a single item per ticket, since we will be responding to all feedback and need to indicate the status of each item separately for organization purposes. This will allow the team to have a structured discussion with the author of a request if necessary. Every point will be addressed; however, some may be rejected and others accepted.
The feedback will be reviewed once per week.
To send us feedback:
https://onairhelp.zendesk.com/
All players who participated in the first stage of testing and completed more than 30 jobs will receive a free 15-day extension to their OnAir subscription soon.
Next steps
Next week, while gathering feedback on the leasing feature, we will implement the rescue missions
