Ready… Set…. Go ! Races registration are open
This week we introduce races. The first set is located near the Grand Canyon, near the 1G4 airport that is on the USA tour path (departure at KGCN). The feature is in beta state, without leaderboard so we can gather all feedback before activating the leaderboards. Post your feedback via tickets on our support site.
This first set of Races is reserved for Single and Multiple Piston Aircraft. There will be a separate leaderboard for each class.
You can install the optional OnAir Checkpoint Marker Package into your MSFS Community folder to display in Game Markers in MSFS: https://www.onair.company/downloads/
To start a race….
Click on the Activities button on the Dashboard, or use the Activities menu (My Company/Operations Management/Activities)

When you register, the race ticket is displayed in your pending jobs:

The Race path is displayed on the map with all the checkpoints:

The checkpoints need to be validated in the same order as indicated on the map.
To start flying, just load your ticket in the aircraft preparation page and you are ready to compete:

When you fly under the Starting point you got the race departure sound and the timer starts
There are no penalties applied for bank, pitch, overspeed, GForce, stall during the race, until you reach the finish marker.
To validate a checkpoint, you need to fly UNDER the arrow marker within 1000 ft radius. You hear a sound when the point is validated and a confirmation is displayed in your In Game Tips.
You can load a flight plan containing the Race checkpoints using the Load Flight Plan in Simulator button:

When all checkpoints are validated, you need to land at the indicated airport: KGCN for Phantom Ranch Climb and Canyon Up & Down, KGPA for Colorado Run.
Be aware that the MSFS Active Pause doesn’t stop the Clock in the Simulator.
Race Travel token
When you register to any Race, you got free travel token to the start airport as long as you don’t finish the race. You can abort the race mid-flight without losing your registration ticket.

Beta MSFS In-game panel
We are also introducing our new OnAir In-Game panel for MSFS
If you want to test the beta feature, download the OnAir Panel package and copy it to your MSFS Community add-on Directory:
https://auth.onair.company/content/onair-ingamepanels-custom5.zip
For this first version, this panel displays OnAir flight logs. The panel will be used in coming updates for much more features
To display the panel, enable it from the custom toolbar menu:

We didn’t find any solution so far to display an SVG toolbar icon, so it’s empty in this first version until we find a workaround:

What’s next:
We are working on the Race leaderboard that will be released next week.
As planned in our Roadmap, we still have a very active work on the game balance that will be deployed in a Public Test World when it is ready for a first testing phase.
